Who we are
Jabal-Amel — Hope & Help (jabalamelhelp.app) is a free, non-profit mutual-aid community for South Lebanon and the Lebanese diaspora. Nothing is sold and no payment data is collected.
What we collect
Your email and password (to sign in), a pseudonym, an approximate district, whether you are a resident or in the diaspora, your language, an optional short bio and avatar, the listings and photos you post, your private messages, reservations, saved listings, reports and blocks.
What others can see
Other members only see your pseudonym, avatar, approximate district and your listings. Your email is never shown. Messages are visible only to the people in the conversation. Reports are visible only to moderators.
Photos
Photos are stored privately and shown only through short-lived links when the listing or profile is visible to the viewer.
AI writing assistant
If you use "Write it for me", the text you type is sent to an AI service through Lovable AI only to draft your listing. It is not used for advertising.
Hosting
Data is stored with our hosting and database provider (Lovable Cloud). We do not sell your data.
Your choices
You can edit your profile, delete your listings and photos, and block members at any time. To delete your account and all its data, contact the team using the address below.
Not an emergency service
This app does not handle emergencies. In Lebanon call 140 (Red Cross) or 125 (Civil Defence).
